

Shelly Owen lettered in academics at Taylorsville High School. After graduating at the top of her class in 2003, she was invited to attend Utah State University on a full-tuition scholarship.
Shelly graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting in December 2006. She was a member of the Dean's list for her entire undergraduate education and was nominated for membership in such honor societies as Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Kappa Phi, the National Dean's List, and the National Collegiate Honors Society.
Shelly is now pursuing a master's degree in accounting at USU while working part time as an accountant for both the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing and Partners in Business. She pledged for Beta Alpha Psi in 2006 and is one of the accounting fraternity's vice presidents for the 2007-2008 school year. She will be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in May, 2008.
Shelly enjoys playing sports, hiking, and being outdoors. She loves to cook, read, and play games, but is particularly happy when she gets to do these activities with her family and friends
