Peter Coffee
Technology Editor, eWeek

Being Ready for IT's Tomorrow

Peter has twenty years of experience as a developer, consultant, educator, and internationally published author and analyst. As the technology editor of eWEEK, the national news magazine of enterprise infrastructure, his current beats include development tools and business intelligence products. He is also the author of Peter Coffee Teaches PCs and How to Program Java. Additionally, Peter frequently helps mainstream TV news organizations cover eBusiness issues, and he speaks at conferences throughout the U.S. and England.

He holds an engineering degree from MIT and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University.

Peter will present eWEEK Labs second-look analysis of controversial technologies on the fringe of enterprise readiness. He will focus on how you can keep your options open and make the best use of new offerings as they enter the IT mainstream. His suggestions will help you overcome the biggest threat to future IT readiness—looking at emerging technology too soon, and deciding it has nothing to offer. Peter will help you decide when to take a crucial second look at more mature efforts.
