Peggy Stone grew up in Salt Lake City where she received both her BS degree in business/communication and an M.Ed degree with an emphasis in organizational training and development from Westminster College.
Peggy’s current position is with Beneficial Financial Group where she serves as senior vice president of human resources, which incorporates comprehensive HR services for the organization that are aligned with the corporate strategy. Peggy works closely with the company’s president and members of the leadership team to ensure that the overall strategy of the company includes a primary emphasis on people. She believes the most important contribution she can make is to ensure that the organizational design and development strategies (people, process, structure, rewards, and strategy) are aligned and actively in place to allow all associates of Beneficial to succeed, thereby allowing the company to succeed.
In addition, Peggy also has a consulting firm called Threshold Consulting where she partners with organizations throughout the valley to improve their people and organizational prosperity.
Peggy is also very involved in the community. She is an adjunct instructor in the Gore School of Business at Westminster College and serves on several community boards and committees including the DMBA Human Resources Committee, Temple Square Hospitality Human Resources Committee, United Way Women’s Philanthropic Network, Rocky Mountain Leadership Forum, Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, and the YWCA.
Peggy and her husband Bob live in Salt Lake City where they enjoy their family, travel, their yard, and each other.
