Margo Gray
President, Horizon Engineering Services Co

Walking in Two Worlds

Description of Business: 
As President for Horizon Engineering Services Co., Margo consults American Indian Tribes on transportation planning, gaming/casino developments, project management, research for environmental assessments, scheduling, master planning from conceptual to final design, bidding and negotiation.  She also provides coordination between the Tribe/Owner and design teams.

Background:
Margo is a third generation entrepreneur.  She is the recipient of numerous state and national awards: “2006 Local Hero Award,” Tulsa Metro Chamber; “2005 Indian Business Owner of the Year,” awarded by the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development;  “2004 The Outstanding National Native American Woman Owned Business,” awarded by the National Indian Business Association; “2004 Dr. Ralph Dru Career and Professional Award,” given by the Greater Tulsa Indian Affairs Commission; “2003 Professional Firm of the Year,” given by the Oklahoma Native American Business Development Center;  and the “Charles Chibitty Community Contributor 2003,” awarded by the Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commission.  In the past several years, Margo has served on several national and local business boards.  She is a passionate advocate for minority and women owned businesses.
