Lynn has 12 years experience managing Ernst & Young’s Salt Lake tax practice. Previously, he was Ballard Medical’s tax director, and he worked in the tax practice at Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Ames has expertise with real estate, manufacturing, and high technology industries. Additionally, he provides Ernst & Young’s national groups with strategic business solutions.

During the morning concurrent session, Lynn will provide you with in-depth coverage of disclosure regulations (including reportable transactions), and their impact on the tax arena. Additionally, he will highlight recent changes dealing with Section 755 regulations.

In the afternoon, Lynn will focus on the Job and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003. You will gain a broader understanding of hot topics related to capital gains and dividends. He will also discuss legislation regarding business purposes, the direction of Extra Territorial Income laws, and the potential impact new laws and regulations could have on your clients.
