Scott has been with RC Willey for 16 years. Before serving as chief executive officer, he served as the firm’s controller for nine years, and its chief financial officer for five years. Prior to joining RC Willey, Scott was a CPA with Grant Thornton, a national accounting firm.
RC Willey is a retailer of furniture, electronics, appliances and flooring. This year, the firm’s 2,500 associates are projected to exceed $550 million in sales. The company, which was purchased by Berkshire Hathaway in 1995, also extends credit to its customers.
Scott earned an undergraduate degree in accounting at Brigham Young University and an MBA at the University of Utah.
