Glenn Ricart, PhD
Managing Director, PricewaterhouseCoopers Center for Advanced Technology
Chief Technology Advisor, CenterBeam
Technology of the Future and Predictions of Business Impact

Glen has three decades of experience in the technology area. He recently accepted the challenge of creating the Center for Advanced Research for PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional services organization. In this capacity, he works at the intersection of technology, business, and public policy. He has also founded or co-founded three successful businesses, including the world's first Internet Service Provider, and CenterBeam.

Glen is also a former executive vice president and chief technology officer for Novell. He founded the company’s corporate research and development organization, and provided architectural leadership for Novell's products. Previously, he also guided the Department of Defense’s research into end-system computer security, and he served as the technology liaison to the Clinton White House. Additionally, Glen had responsibility for academic information technology on Maryland’s public university campuses. He also advised Maryland’s governor on technology issues.

Glen will discuss how future technology will impact your business. He will focus on the disruptive changes—the ones that are the hardest to predict because they appear "out of left field". Glenn will provide you with his updated observations of issues he addressed for Silicon Valley's Churchill Club in 2003.
