Utah State University is located in enchanting Cache Valley. The appealing locale beckons outdoor enthusiasts during every season. The warmer months offer hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, and a wide variety of other outdoor sport opportunities. During the cooler months the area provides a backdrop for skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, ice fishing, sledding, and snowmobiling. Culturally, Cache Valley serves as the home of The Utah Festival Opera Company, The Lyric Theater and the American West Heritage Center. In July the area is packed with vintage cars that parade down Main Street during the annual Cruise-In. Cache Valley is also an agricultural center that is known for its cheese production. It boasts one of largest Swiss cheese processing plants in the world. The area's natural beauty invites tourists year round. The road that wends through Logan Canyon to Bear Lake is on the list of the 10 most scenic drives in the United States and the sunsets over the Wellsville Mountain Range are breathtaking. |
