Immigration Today: Business Immigration, An Overview of Immigrant and Nonimmigrant Visas for Foreign Nationals

As a founding partner of the Salt Lake City law firm, Littlefield & Peterson, Mr. Littlefield has specialized in immigration law for over 25 years. He has represented many local, national, and international businesses in immigration matters including the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee in its preparation and presentation of the 2002 Winter Games.

Mr. Littlefield has served as Chairman of the Utah State Bar Ethics Screening Panel, and was a presenter at the Chief Justice’s Ethics Symposium. He is a recipient of the Utah State Bar’s Special Service Award, and he is listed in Best Lawyers in America, an honor granted by his peers. He is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. A native of Utah, he serves as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Utah’s College of Law.

Mr. Littlefield will discuss temporary work visas and the process companies must use to obtain Green Cards (Immigrant Visas) for foreign employees. The presentation will include an overview of the requirements for permanent visas and the procedures employers must follow to obtain permanent visas for their employees.
