Tina Stahlke Lewis
International Business Development Office for the State of Utah

Utah’s Global Connections

As the new director of Utah’s International Business Development Office, Ms. Lewis acts as a resource for businesses that want to export goods and services, and she works to attract investments from foreign markets. Her organization hosts visiting dignitaries, government officials, and trade missions. She was previously the marketing director for the international office where she coordinated the Country Center Program for Salt Lake City’s 2002 Olympic Winter Games. This program introduced thousands of Utah’s business people to delegations from the 78 visiting countries.

As a 27 year resident of Park City and a former member of the City Council, Ms. Lewis was very involved with Park City’s transformation into a world-class recreation destination. She was the Director of Community Affairs for the Park City Chamber Bureau and she spearheaded events such as the Taste of Park City and the annual Miner’s Day celebration. She also coordinated several national conferences for the former Governor of Utah, Scott Matheson.

Ms. Lewis was named Utah’s Renaissance woman by Utah Holiday magazine. She and her husband, Jim Lewis, and their two daughters reside in a restored miner’s cottage in Park City.

Ms. Lewis will discuss local global connections, resources available to Utah businesses, and opportunities to expand into worldwide markets. You will gain a better understanding of how your company could expand into foreign markets and why it would be to your advantage.
