Brandt C. Redd

Untethered Computing: Information Systems for the Conference Room, for the Hallway, at the Worksite and On the Road.

Mr. Redd is the co-founder of Agilix Labs, a start-up that develops Personal Effectiveness software for the Microsoft Tablet PC. He was formerly the chief scientist at MyFamily.com where he managed intellectual property protection, emerging technologies, and security and encryption prototypes. Prior to joining MyFamily, he co-founded Folio Corporation, currently called NextPage, a supplier of indexing, electronic publishing, and document management software. Mr. Redd is a co-inventor of folio indexing technology, who has two decades of experience in software development involving the internet, document management, and indexing and publishing.

Mr. Redd received a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s in business administration from Brigham Young University.


His presentation will focus on the next great IT challenge, keeping all of the available hardware and software applications connected, synchronized and backed up. This presentation will develop a model for evaluating and integrating local and wide-area wireless networks, synchronization systems, back-end databases, and commercial and custom software. Mr. Redd will provide a practical demonstration of available products.
